Bradford Pear Trees
Hi,
I planted 3 bradford pears and all have developed black leaves, and 2 have died. Is this because of too much rain? Thanks, John |

Thanks, John No, it's probably because you didn't fully saturate the root ball before placing it into the hole, or planted it too deeply, or it could also be just because they aren't great trees for Texas. Their lifespan is about 15 years. That's a lot of time put in for a tree to have it die. I'd return to the place you bought them if you did not do any of the above. If you did do any of the above inadvertantly, the warranty or guarantee should not be used because it is the fault of the customer not the vendor. It's only the right thing to do. |
