Pecan tree problem...

Is there a trick to shock the pecan trees into producing another set of new leaves? Thanks, Gene Pecans do not get caught very often. Around my house they are even slower than mesquite to leave out in the spring. My experience is that the trees that have sufficient resources will produce new growth from secondary leaf axils, but it will take up to a month depending on the weather. (the recent dry spell is probably not helping much) Perhaps one of the professional arborists who post can chime in with something better informed. |
