Default Rooting

How do you root a cutting of a plant? I will look up the information
on-line, but I wondered if anyone has a great technique.

Generally, you have a jar of rooting compound available, cut the cutting
right at a leaf node, dip it in the rooting compound then plant
immediately in a mix of 1/3rd vermiculite, 1/3 sand and 1/3 good quality
potting soil. Keep soil moist but not soaked.

Depending on the plant, expect anywhere from a 30% to 100% success rate.
Some plants are more cutting friendly than others. It's why I generally
only do cuttings of succulents, but that's a personal preference. ;-)

Look into "air layering". It's a little more trouble, but more of a sure
bet.

Good luck!
