Tree with 1" diameter yellow orange fruit

It looks almost like a guava except the fruit has 4 large brown seeds about 3/8" diameter. The flowers are already gone. Now to get some to eat and plant, but don;t eat the seeds :) My Loquat is very frustrating. Only one year out of a bunch was the fruit large enough to be worth the trouble. Probably just needs some extra care. And, the annual fruit drop and fly infestation is always a pleasure, right outside the front door. But, they are easy to grow, provide flowers in December for whatever insects need them and fruit for other wildlife... |
