Default Honey Dew Mellon, "When are they ripe"..

Recently, while in Costa Rica, I ate my first Honey Dew Mellon, and
loved them.

I live much of my 70 years on a farm, and raise a mellon patch almost
every year.- - -Sooooooooo, it seemed natural I should raise me some
of these delicious things.

The last row in my mellon patch, I planted Honey Dew. They did great!
I must have 75 to 100 that I think looks ripe. Every other day, I cut
one- - -they are still green(hard and not sweet). I even went to the
store and look at theirs- -mine looks the same as theirs- -I think.

Most of them don't have a curl. Do I wait for them to fall of the
vine, like a cantelope????????lost!!!!

Thanks, have a good day!!!
