I have to tear my back every spring after it blooms. Since it's one of the first things to bloom, I do leave it for any early insects to make use of. When other perennials peek through it, I hack at it with a good, sharp pair of pruning shears. Victoria |

I suggest you look up V.major and V.minor and decide which you have. Common
