What are they?
 

My dad was visiting from Killeen. Absolutely fell in love with some
shrubs/trees that he saw. They both look spindly, like Mimosa or Mesquite.
One has bright yellow, almost popcorn-looking flowers growing in clusters.
The second looks like two-toned flowers, orange and tangerine red blossoms.
Any idea of what I should ask for in the nurseries? Might they grow in
Killeen, 70 miles northwest of here? Thanks!

PoB comes in three colors. One of them is mostly yellow with a little

(Tecoma stans)

Our neighbor has several of those in their front garden area- they've
been in full color for several months and are no more that 4-5' tall.
I'd never seen/noticed them before, they're beautiful. The each
'blossom' seems to go from yellow at the top to orange to red- someone
else called it a Firebush(?)

I have one of these plants, common name is also twin leaf senna. Now after it
being in the ground about three years, I have about five which have come up. I
am going to move them to other, more suitable areas, but they are prolific and
if trained and limbed up can be a really beautiful flowering specimen in the
native landscape.
