Naaa, if we did that, we wouldn't have room for the "gay bondage" and
"big dildo" posts. ;-)

Let me just say that, even though I've only had one cherry tomato ripen
so far, it's lookin' pretty good out there. The mustard greens went
crazy, got the broccoli in too late, so it all bolted, and the lettuce
didn't do much, either.

But nothing beats a big bowl of Blue Bell Natural Vanilla Bean topped
with dead-ripe dewberries picked out of the yard 20 minutes earlier!

One of my co-workers said we have dewberries growing wild in the "wild"
areas at work. I say they look like blackberries. What's the difference
between the two?

Only a botanist could tell the difference and only a botanist would
care. I have been told that dewberries are slightly smaller and the
plants are somewhat more recumbent. Blackberries are supposed to be
more productive. Both grow in brambles. They are both Rubus spp. and
are interchangeable for all practical purposes as far as I can tell.
Bake them in a cobbler (pie crust style) and serve big helpings hot
with Blue Bell vanilla. Yummm!!!

I do know that blackberries are red when they're green.

Ok...

Well, my mom's blackberries (in Mexico, if that makes a difference) are
green when they're very green, then they turn red, then purple.

No, they are green when they are green and continue to be green when
they are red. This is true for both Dewberries and Blackberries. Now
for Raspberries, they are green when they are green and they are not
green when they are red. This makes them all very easy to tell apart.
