Default Moisture meter

Any recommendations for a moisture meter that can be left in the pot? Where
can they be purchased? I need several.

Thanks

Default Moisture meter

Wal-Mart sells them for about $4 apiece, but half of them don't work
right out of the package and you won't ever get 2 to say the same
thing...but the ones that work do, well, seem to work :)

Between dogs chewing them, using them (breaking them) to measure how
deep the soil was moist under yard crapes, throwing away the ones that
just didn't work at all (always reading wet or dry but no in-between)
I've been through 8 or 9 of them.
