New to this forum. I just joined in order to get help with a tomato
problem.
The stems of my tomato plants have developed a kind of bumpy infection
which looks just like there's something just under the skin. I scraped
a bit back with my nail and sure enough, clusters of purply white eggs
lurked just beneath the surface. What are they and what should I do
about them? Is this serious?
thanks in advance for all help received!
Jo

Don't know, but it's still buried because that's where the thread is.
Reposted so people will see it.

Sorry I am also a bit lost by the spam problem so just reading this as
a one off message.
My tomatoes have bumps on the stems. I believe that its areas that can
be rooted. Is there any chance its them? I think they are called
adventitious roots and there is a picture at
http://www-plb.ucdavis.edu/labs/rost...ms/adstem.html but its a
bit poor and the only one I could find (sorry)
