posting a rotovator

Hi, I fancy buying a second hand rotovator, but I stay in the Western
Isles so the carrier's charges are likely to be =A350. royal mail
charges for 20 KG are =A311.65, could a rotovator be split into two
parcels, each one 20 KG or less?

You don't say which Island, but - is there still a daily fish lorry
(Scott, wasn't it?) from Stornoway? You might get it delivered to
Ullapool (which ought to be cheaper) and arrange to get it picked up and
brought back on the returning lorry.

I very much doubt if any rotavator would split into two 20 KG parts, but
it's possible that some of the more flimsy ones might.

I think we're being trolled in a new and, to my taste, absolutely
enchanting style. Keep 'em coming, dotcompost and parkland! I think
I'll have a go myself in a minute when I've internalised the flavour.

Ours would be a lot of parcels - about 350kg.
