Our local Wyevale Garden Centre has, this week, put up its Christmas
display Crackers, cards, decorations - the lot!

I saw Christmas puddings in Tesco yesterday and I thought that was bad

Hm, They aren't likely to come up for 6 weeks, (end of October) and
I suspect that by then it will be too cool and light-levels too low (for
new foliage growth).
