Troubled by Snails?
 

Have just watched a Misle Thrush beat merry hell out of a snail and devour
contents of same. It did start to bash it on the path slabs, but moved a
couple of feet to a step which is about 2" high and used that as the Anvil!!

I can strongly recommend feeding the birds :-))
