in the USA a quarter note is a crotchet. Senior moment:)

Well, quite a few of us are getting old and crotchety. Amusingly
enough, one of the examples in the OED for the first meaning of
the word 'breve' is "He was tempted to revoke his breves." You
have just done so :-)
