Probably, but put some newspaper under it before you do; some
vigourous houseplants drip gluey sap from raw cuts for a few hours.

Friends of ours had a huge umbrella plant that reached the ceiling
then turned at right angles and kept going. As it travelled along they
occasionally pinned some supports to the ceiling so it didn't fall over.
