I haven't tried it, but many cherries are susceptible to splitting due to variations in soil water content eve when grown in the ground. I'd suggest that one potential problem is that pot-grown cherries will need v careful attention to watering when the cherries are nearly ripe. -- Anton |

It is on a very dwarfing rootstock and is kept in a half barrel, has been here several years and fruits every year, Don't need to do anything except top dress it, water and feed it.
