Stella Cherry in a pot

Has anyone successfully grown a Stella Cherry tree in a pot in order to keep
it's size down?

If so, tell me what you did?

I haven't tried it, but many cherries are susceptible to splitting due to
variations in soil water content eve when grown in the
ground. I'd suggest that one potential problem is that pot-grown
cherries will need v careful attention to watering when the cherries are
nearly ripe.

Yes. It is on a very dwarfing rootstock and is kept in a half barrel,
has been here several years and fruits every year, Don't need to do
anything except top dress it, water and feed it.
