Depends what you want to grow and if they like lots of sun or not.

My little leanto greenhouse is on the NE. side of our garage so only gets
sun first thing in morning. We start all our veg seeds off in there and grow
them on until planting out size without problem (other than it's too small!)

If it's an open aspect, light but just no sun, it should be OK.
A neighbour still grows toms in his greenhouses which are overshadowed
within 10ft by a huge unkept Leylandii hedge on the south side so again only
sun first thing in the morning.

thanks bob,

the site gets sun from 3pm but would be shaded by the house before that

Does anyone have any thought on the tint of those temp. greenhouses
I can choose between a clear one or one with quite a heavy green tint
(its the argos ones and similar)

TIA

If it in the shade you want the cover as clear as possible, and anyway, with
our low light it's better to get clear and use shade cloth or similar if
it's ever needed.
