Gardening gloves for small children
Anyone know where I can get some gardening gloves for small children? They
need to - fit a small 3-year old (she's just growing out of 2 year old clothes but I imagine her fingers are longer than an average 2 year old). - be tough as we have both stinging nettles and brambles; we keep the children away and are digging them out but of course she wants to "help" all she can ;-). So far I've only found gloves for 3-8 year olds on the web (and none at all locally). If they'll fit an 8 year old, my guess is my daughter would have great difficulty wearing and using them. Thanks, Paul DS. -- Please remove the "x-" if replying to sender. |

I can get you the phone no if you are interested. Andrew -- Andrew Wells Replace nospam with my first name to reach me |

Any information would be greatfully received. My daughter loves to help but
should really have some gloves given the various nasties in our garden. Thanks, Paul DS. |

I bought some for my son from Asda - they were really cheap too.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sources pointed to we
Asda. Brio make some floral gardening gloves which can be bought in some shops (for example in Bath). "Keen Gardeners", http://www.keengardener.co.uk, sell both Stanley work gloves (largish) and similar by Briers (labelled 4-7 but actually very small!). These are more "work gloves" instead of gardening gloves (i.e. tougher, less flexible) but ideal for those like me who have nettles, brambles etc. to avoid! Paul DS. |
