Default New Compost Bin in Operation - Hotter-Rotter

We have three bins of a rectangular shape, with the sides, top, and door lined
with thickish (1-2 inches) polystyrene. It seems to keep the heat in, and makes
compost in a shorter period of time than our old compost heap. I think that the
idea was originally called a hotter-rotter.

Does anyone else have experience of this device ?
