East facing wall
My garden has a long east facing rendered wall, about 50m long. The
prevailing wind is generally from the west. Would it be a suitable wall to grow fruit trees against or can anyone suggest a suitable climber to cover this wall. TIA, Robert |
East facing wall
Such a wall will get the full "benefit" of any east wind that does blow.
Depending on your location, that wind could be direct from a Russian winter. You might lose blossom or something else vital to whatever you plant there. Also, it will have a significant rain shadow. It may be quite warm in summer and less windy than on the other side. Steve Harris - Cheltenham - Real address steve AT netservs DOT com |
