Plum Tree

I have inherited a plum tree on my new allotment and somebody told me the
type, but I forgot what he said.
It was something like Poncelli or at least Italian sounding.
Please can someone suggest some possibles.
If I saw it again I'm sure I would recognise it.
Cheers

Plum Tree

Have to admit I didn't know of an Italian sounding plum. Had a browse
of the National Collection and came up with these two

There are are over 300 plums in the National colection, so it might be
a place to browse. There aren't as many pictures of plums as there are
apples, but might give you a clue.
