Carrots in a grow bag?

I'm thinking of growing some carrots from seed in a bag of compost. Is
this possible/advisable?

Thanks,
Bruce

A grow bag suggests you are going to lie it down which will give you short
carrots.

Growing them in a vertical bag will be unnecessarily deep.

Can't you treat yourself to some largish flower pots and decant the growing
medium into that/those?

"Grow bag"

"Bag of compost"

Two different animals ;-) in both shape and size

Sorry, I meant a bag of compost, with the bag rolled back.
