Red ant soil mounds in the grass ??
 
Seems like there is a lot of them about this year but

How do I get rid of them ??

How do I get the lawn back to flat ??

1 part borax, 2 parts sugar, add water to give a thin syrup, place in
upside down yoghurt pot lid or similar on grass above nest, cover with
flowerpot weighted if necessary.

Alternatively, buy some 'Nippon' (which is what the above is,
more-or-less) and proceed as above.
