Pruning Jasmine
I have a Jasminum Polyanthum in the conservatory, grown from a
cutting, and this spring was it's first year of flowering. The flowers are going over now, and I want to know how I should prune it. There appear to be two types of growth: long, vigorous straight stems heading for the sky, and shorter, thinner, more wiry stems that carry the flowers. Which, if either, or both, do I prune and when, for good flowering next year? -- Chris E-mail: christopher[dot]hogg[at]virgin[dot]net |
