A friend wants some upholstered garden furniture which is genuinely
waterproof as she has nowhere to store it and it will stay outside all
year round. Any recommendations? I'm thinking wicker - or if real
wicker won't survive then synthetic wicker with waterproof cushions.
I'm told that anything which looks like plastic or resin won't be
welcome -- and that hardwoods are not affordable. TIA.

John Lewis had a plated light resin and hardwood arm support set which
looked nice.

I have seen this type on a Gardening prog where they portrayed it as being
for outside use.

as for the cushions I did not look closely at them to ascertain if they were
all weather......this said would you want to leave them outside but more
like all garden furniture coverings you take them in when not in regular
use.

Waterproof covers which enclose the whole item can be bought, their use
means that any fabric and construction material can be chosen.

Ordinary Garden Furniture, Resin, Plastic, Cast Aluminium, Iron with loose
cushions.

Storage of loose Cushions :-

Under beds.
In the drawers under beds.
Behind wardrobes.
On top of wardrobes.
In the bottom of wardrobes.
Under the suitcases wherever they are stored
Behind the chest of drawers.
In a plastic bag in the roof.
In a plastic bag in the roof of the garage.
etc
etc
etc.

Been there, done that, got the storage sorted :-))

'what shall we do with this?' stuff.
In the drawers under beds
