Lotus berthelotii problem

IIRC some urglers have experience of growing Lotus berthelotii. We
filled a couple of large hanging baskets with them (70mm pot plants) and
after a slow start the foliage filled out and the first flush of flowers
appeared and they looked quite good. The problem is that the initial
flowers have now died off and are not being replaced. They are located
where they get sun all morning which turns to semi-shade then shade as
the afternoon progresses and the care regime has been careful watering
and a feed with miracle grow every 14 days. Grateful for any advice.

I grew some from plug plants, and they thrived but didn't flower.
None of them came through the winter, but that was largely the
result of neglect - they seemed to hate drying right out, being
smothered by other plants (even temporarily) and the slightest
cold. If someone can give guidance, I may have another go.

Regards,
Nick Maclaren.

This is normal for Lotus, Robert. Ours are in the greenhouse but are having
a rest at the moment. They'll start flowering again in a while.

Many thanks - we can but wait in hope.
