Hi I live in extreme sw England- coastal location. Do I need to
lift my thriving canna in the autumn?

We don't but they're in well-drained areas. We're about 2.5 miles from
Dartmoor. If you have yours in a well-drained area but worry about frost at
any time, you could mulch them with some compost, leaves etc., which is what
we do with Dahlias, too.

I don't lift mine either, -8c here last winter, but very good drainage and
it was a dry winter anyway.
