Tricyrtis

This is a bit of a daft question but does anyone know if Tricyrtis come in a
larger flowered form than the T. formosana?

You could try enquiring of the national collection holder

http://www.nccpg.com/gloucestershire/tricyrtis.html

I suspect that there are larger flowered forms, but couldn't find
anything on a cursory search, if only because people don't bother to
specify flower sizes.

You mean size really doesn't matter? ;-0 Thank you for that, Stewart.

Tricyrtis 'Kohaku' has a fairly large flower but a lax habit.
Tricyrtsis oshumiensis is low growing and has good large yellow
flowers.

Tricyrtis macrantha ssp. macranthopsis is the largest lowered Tricyrtis
that I have; it has large yellow tubular flowers (2 inches+ long?).

Take a look at:

All I can say to this is 'WOW'! Thank you so much and as soon as we return
from holiday, I'll be contacting you about a few of those! I had absolutely
no idea how many varieties there are and entirely agree with your comment
about the photos, BTW. This is another plant that seems to be overlooked
all too often and is valuable for its late flowering. What a really lovely
collection.
