Cuttings for Fruit trees/grapes needed
 

Hi,

I did grow white grapes from cuttings supplied by a retired school teacher
and am pleased with the result. Getting white grapes sweet to taste. They
are seed. I forgot his address and it would be nice to see how his grape
vine is doing.

Any one knows how to grow the seedless grapes please?

The same way as seeded ones: you'll need a plant or cuttings from one
of the seedless varieties. I don't know where you are, but one of the
good suppliers in England is Deacon's Nursery -- they have a website.
It's important to choose a variety suitable for your soil and climate,
and a good nursery will help you.

Feed and water a vine, and if it's in a warm, sunny spot, it should
produce to maximum.

A vine needs to be well-established before it performs really well, as
its roots have to grow to make a rather large matrix.

However, the most important route to a good, plump crop is proper pruning.

That varies with the season. I have some large ones this year because of
all the rain. But others are tiny. Seyval never grow very big but
Chasselas do grow quite big if we have rain in July/August.

I harvested mine yesterday but I could have left them for another two
weeks as long as the rain holds off. Already mine are beginning to
suffer from grey mould.
