Default Rasberry problems

I have planted Glen Magna raspberries in an area that has had raspberries
before. three-quarter of which have failed. the ground was prepared with
added compost and a layer of bark mulch. Any ideas what is wrong and should
I just replant and try again.

"the site where you are going to plant raspberries should not have
