olive tree pruning
 
Does one prune an olive tree and if so when? (my tree is two years old and is in a large tub..)

I prune ours whenever I remember - late Autumn or early Spring - it does
not seem to make any noticeable difference to the summer growth. For an
olive producers viewpoint you may want to have a look at

South Devon - as a matter of interest I was driving along a lane between
St Marychurch and Combeinteignhead this morning and at the side of the
lane was the most unusual hedgerow tree for this part of the world, a
mature olive, getting on for 4 metres tall.

Good heavens! I used to live in Stokeinteignhead and once had an urg meet
there. Olive trees are increasingly in demand now.
