Default Nectarine - spraying an impulse buy?

We went garden centre-ing today and purchased a small nectarine tree -
justified as part of my mini-orchard project.

The tree already has some flowers. Can I still spray it with Bordeaux to
stave off the potential of leaf curl, or should I for-go this for this year?
Will the nursery / garden centre have done this already?

Thanks,

Keith

It's a preventative and must be sprayed all over the leaves, it's white
because of the lime in it so you can see when you need to reapply. It washes
off in rain.
It is not systemic.

You do not spray the blossom, but the leaves on the point of unfurling,
then again a few weeks later.

That clarifies even further - even though I wouldn't spray the blossom.

Many thanks,

Keith
