Possibly a Judas tree - cerci siliquastrum, if the flowers are on the trunk.

Hi Deborah.

Not only did this tree have blossom on the trunk but it also had other blossom which was a lighter shade of purple? could this still be a Judas tree? The name of the tree sounds appropriate for a church yard!
thanks for replying
Sheryl
