Some of you may be interested to know that the Royal National Rose
Society Gardens (formerly known as the Gardens of the Rose) re-open to
the public on 9 June after 4 years of closure and a complete redesign
and rebuild by Michael Balston & Co.

The Royal National Rose Society is one of the country's leading single
genus horticultural societies

The world renowned Royal National Rose Society Gardens will featu

- A rose collection (more than 7000 plants and 2500 varieties) showing
the history of the rose
- Roses in a garden setting showing different styles of planting
- Gardens to give inspiration for growing roses in small spaces
- The newly replanted Queen Mother garden
- Discounts for combined visits with nearby Hatfield House
- Only 20 miles from London, and 1 mile from St Albans with its Abbey
Cathedral and Roman Museum
- The Gardens will also be available for group and corporate events.

The Gardens will be open 10am-5pm (last admissions at 4.30pm) 9th June
to 30th September

Entry is £5, accompanied children FoC.

There will be a display of plans for Butterfly World, the world class

2009.

The re-opening is the first phase of development in the area that will
