Help on Monarda, Echinacea, Geranium & Campanula

Hello all,

I recently purchased quite a few plants from Parkers to fill in the gaps in my 2 year old border. I have used Parkers before and never had any problems. But i have some questions about Monarda, Echinacea, Geranium & Campanula that i've purchased, planted and don't seem to see much activity.

The Monarda collection was classed "Monarda Mixed", the Echinaceas were Purpurea, the Geraniums were Sanguineum and finally the Campanulas were Glomerata Superba.

I received these plants on the 30th April and planted them same day. But a month done the line i can see very little from any of the above. Some Photinias, Lily bulbs and some others that i bought and planted at the same time are doing fine.

Are my expectation levels too high to see some results this year? I know Parkers plants are always small (nursery stock i imagine), but i'd hope to see the plants at least growing.

The Echinacea are the same size as i when i planted, the geraniums have not broke thru to ground level yet. And out of the 70 Monardas and Campanulas i planted, theres only a few i can see peeking through the bark chippings.(which i added after planting)

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

If needs be i'll get in touch with Parkers, but i'd like some steer on is what i'm seeing correct for these plants. I'm a bit of a newbie to this gardening game to be honest.

Many Thanks

Mick
