Frost

Well, we had a frost here, just South of Stoke on Trent the night before
last. Caught my potatoes and one of my fuchsias. My runner beans are
running away, wonder if I can risk putting them out, apart from one year
in the early 70's when we had a frost on the 6th June this is the latest
I can remember one here. What about this global warming then? ;-)

We rushed down and covered the potatoes and the few Tomatoes I'd put out
only for it to turn wet and not frosty at all, Landrover full of wet fleece
the next day, lovely. :-(
We had a Grass Frost on the 9th June a few years back which did a lot of
damage on the allotment, it being much more exposed than the garden. That's
why we are later than all the new gardeners on our site at putting stuff out
..... mind you, they all got away with it last year.

Isn't that annoying! our latest frost here has been 8th of June, and I do not
think radiation frost will go with global warming, they frequently have
frosts in hot desert areas at night despite lower latitudes and hotter days
than us. So I would keep the fleece handy :~)
