Leaves browning
I'd like some advice as to what may be causing leaves to turn brown at the

One is stood on gravel, the other on block paving. With the gravel topping, it's difficult to tell if the soil it wet/dry. -- ßôyþëtë London, UK |

One is stood on gravel, the other on block paving. With the gravel topping, it's difficult to tell if the soil it wet/dry. The gravel topping could be part of the problem because it prevents evaporation, so the plants could be too wet and not drying enough between watering. May I suggest you scrape some of the gravel aside before watering so as to check the condition of the compost.
