I have been given a vriesea (I presume it's a vriesea cultivar) as a
birthday present and am wondering how to take care of it. I've looked
on the web but hints and tips that I've found seem to conflict. Does
anyone here have such a plant and, if so, could they tell me how I
should look after it? Many thanks in advance.

I'll try again: is there anyone out there who can help me with this
question?

Many thanks. That's one site that Google didn't throw my way.
