take some hydro cortisone (sp) cream with you. if you are bitten the
antibiotics within the cream really do help.

Is it antibiotics or is it simply the anti-inflammatory properties
of the steroid cream?

For cellulitis, both.

OK, that's news to me. I didn't know hydrocortisone cream contained
antibiotics.

Nor anybody else

It's better to let a professional do the prescribing.

it seems I made a mistake about the antibiotics however the quote from the
source you provided states.....

"This reduces swelling, redness and itch. Hydrocortisone is a mild
corticosteroid that is applied to the skin to treat a wide variety of
inflammatory skin disorders, such as eczema or insect bite reactions.

I have severe reactions to bites, this stuff works!

here we go, I knew I wasn't making it up. the cream I have is called hydro
fusion or something similar (bought in Greece) . apparently it contains
fusidic cream hence the name. this is why I mentioned the antibiotics. the
nurse I mentioned it to had a cream with the English equivalent name.

see details on fusidic creams and its association with hydrocortisone cream.

Rub on some of the C.medica that you have grown! That should work
because anything that smells different to the mozzies usual target
repels them.

What is 'C.medica'?
