Default Tomato blight & Growbags

My Tomatoes were grown outside in growbags and got the blight very
badly. (I was amazed at the number of cherry tomatoes I did get in the
end).

Can I add the contents of the growbag to the compost heap or will I
get trouble where I place the compost? I do not intend growing
Potatoes or Tomatoes direct in the ground where I place the compost.
