If you have not tried it before I can recommend giving it a go. Its a good
alternative to boiling, steaming or stir frying. Tonight I roasted my first
batch along with some chicken. The florets were only small as the plants are
near the end of their days. About 12 minutes and they came out crisp and
caramelised. Well worth a try. I have not been a big fan of broccoli in the
past but find roasting it quite acceptable.

Oh wow! We roast broccoli a lot of the time...along with peppers, red onions
and tomatoes and serve the veg on plain wholemeal pasta...delicious!

I am acclimitising myself to the taste of Broccoli. I have not gotten to the
stage of eating it steamed, in stir fries or roasted mixed with others
things is ok though. Tonight it was baby broccoli florets with kumara and
schnitzel. I am not that worried if it carries a little extra fat, I use an
acceptable oil that is monounsaturated. The big issue is eating vegetables.
I reckon another interesting way might be to fry in tempura batter. The side
effect of broccoli is that it makes me fart which can be an advantage in
certain circumstances, like in bed or barrys office of travelling on an
escalator.
