SPUD, SPAM and eating for victory by Katherine Knight

A very interesting book which is an eye opener considering the amount of
food and produce we import today.

Does it say we should all have an allotment? I might ask at the
library if they've got it.

Pages 97 - 103 cover the story of the Allotment and describes the leaflets
available at the time.

However if you want "An Allotment Book", you need 'The Allotment Gardener's
Handbook' by Alan Titchmarsh. This has over 100 diagrams and charts and
contains nearly 200 pages starting at the basics.

ISBN 1 85051 606 5 Published by Treasure Press and the Edition I have was
printed in 1991. (First published by Severn House in 1982)
