I've never been to The Chequers at Rowhook. Is it as good as its
reputation?

What about the White Horse in Hascombe? Seems to have new management,
although I have never been there, so can't say if the comments here are
reasonable or not.

Or we could go to The Greets or Sussex Oak in Warnham.

Any ideas?

Ah, the joy of Outlook Express. Meant to be emailed to a colleague, not
posted!

Still, anyone know what these pubs are like for meals? ;-)
