Default Water, Water everywhere

Well the rain started at around 6am here in South Wales, and by
11am I was trying to clear drains and to get the water to move away
faster. The water was just pouring in from the fields above us, and
from one mouse hole in a bank it was gushing out like a water feature,
landing about 9 inches from the bank.
I was soaked to the skin despite "Waterproof" clothing, and we've been
flooded in various places despite being on the side of a mountain, we
had had about 2 inches of rain by 12.30 and it was still raining then.

What do I want for Xmas?

Someone who can do those jobs for me and stop me getting soaked and
knackered in my old age.

Worst to come if you believe what the papers say...

"The strength of this weekend’s storm makes us even more confident of
extreme events in the run-up to Christmas,” he said. “There will be very
serious storms with hurricane-force winds.”
