Very disappointing, mostly pale orange shades, no red or purple.
Back to "proper" carrots next year.

The Rainbow variety *are* from light pale orange to dark orange. The
title is sadly misleading. The best way to grow a multitude of colours
is to mix the seeds of different varieties. Then it's always a
surprise when you pull up a carrot!

Hi Pam, are you still doing your unusual plants? I am going to try
red this year or rather my husband is. In France we have lovely sandy
soil, unlike the clay we had in England and he is excited about trying
new varieties. I am excited this year as for the first time, we will
have to do everything ourselves without the aid of a gardener, now we
are both retired, we can't justify one. I will no doubt make
horrendous mistakes and if I do I will post on them, at least we can
have a laugh as we put things to rights, can't we?
