Default Gardening Courses in Plymouth and much more

In case anybody from the Plymouth Area is interested, Diggin' It, the
Community Project on Penlee Valley Allotments, Raynham Road, Plymouth are
holding a variety of events and courses through the year. Details are given
below :



2008 Organic Gardening and Arts Events at Diggin' It:

Feb 16thsaturday 10 am to 1 pm, at Diggin' it

"BASICS OF ORGANIC GARDENING" monthly course with David Sharp - our very
own expert head gardener. First of 8 monthly sessions covering all the
basics of successful vegetable and plant raising using organic methods,
presented with sharp humour! Come to one, or all of his Saturday mornings
throughout 2008. £15/ £10 (concessions) Following dates: 8" March; 19"
April; 17th May through to Nov.

Feb 16th Saturday 2 pm to 5 pm at Diggin' it

"SEEDY SATURDAY" Seed swopping afternoon with hints and tips on saving and
using seeds from the team. Visit the project and hear about what the Diggin'
It project is all about Find out about our exciting courses about 2008
courses and events. £1 entry.



April 11th Friday 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm Royal William Yard

"SPRING CELEBRATION LAUNCH OF DIGGIN' IT'

An evening with Bob Flowerdew, our Patron. Evening talk and questions with
the UK'S foremost organic gardening expert. £8 / £6.

April 26th Saturday 10 am to 5 pm at Diggin' it

"An Introduction to PERMACULTURE" with permaculture trainer Tess Wilmott of
the Plymouth Permaculture group. £30 / £20

May 3rd Saturday 11am to 2 pm at diggin' It

"COOKERY IN THE GARDEN - How to cook and enjoy local tasty fish with Diggin
it organic veggies!" - with master chef David Fildes of the Dartmouth
Smokehouse including delicious lunch. £20/£15

May 10th Saturday 10 am to 5 pm at Diggin' It

"An Introduction to PERMACULTURE - part 2" with permaculture trainer Tess
Willmott of the Plymouth Permaculture group. £30/ £20

May 31st Saturday Midday to 4 pm

"ART IN THE GARDEN" FAMILY DAY - Come and play with earth pigments, finger
paints, clay modelling, recycled art materials, paper mache, mosaics... Just
come and enjoy the oasis we've created. Bring a picnic, bring a granny -
families welcome! Free!
