Interesting article in the news today.

They daren't mention the price though, or if it can cope
with mole hills in its path.

My local dealer sells them, albeit a different make.
He reckons they are really good, and was selling them on a 'try it out,
then pay' basis. Roughly £1000.
Apparently, the trick is that they cut the grass very regularly, so dont
leave lots of 2 inch long cuttings. The grass height is a little higher
than is usual, as he reckons they were developed in the USA, where the
grass isnt cut as short as here.
You'll never get a perfect lawn with them, but for people who have no
time to cut the lawn, then they could be a good buy.

Consider that a small lawn mover takes 400W and something that actually
cuts crass more than 1/8 long takes 1000W plus. Petrol mowers with much
more power seem to work better.

This uses same as a standard light bulb (40W?) and at over a grand it's
an expensive toy.
