Default Poorly Cherry

I moved a potted cherry tree to a friend's allotment but it look like it's
dying. I think it's diseased, another person thinks it has iron deficiency.
It doesn't have much new growth showing and the top twigs are dead. A couple
photos show the state of the small amount of foliage. Any ideas please?
