Garden visit
Longstock Park Water Garden, Hants, owned by the John Lewis partnership opens only about 12 times a year, each time in aid of a different charity. http://www.longstockpark.co.uk/visitfs.htm A friend took me last summer and I highly recommend it. There is a water garden in the valley, parkland and a nursery and tea-room. Pam in Bristol |

It's near Stockbridge (overpriced so-so food!) so if it's a fine day with no wind take a picnic and enjoy it at the Iron Age Danebury hill fort close by (car park near the top with toilets). Beautiful spot with views over counties. It's worth the trip in itself. http://www3.hants.gov.uk/danebury/ -- Regards Bob Hobden |
