Default brown leaf tips on Nandina domestica

Newbie here again. Planted about 8 Nandian domestica "Gulf Stream" last
fall. They are in good new soil, kept moist over the winter, mulched, but
are not looking too healthy right now. Many brown leaf tips (often half
way up the leaf) amd some spotted brown bits on the leaves. Looking all a
bit sick. Any ideas appreciated.

Our Nandina that we have had for years lost most of it's leaves towards the
end of winter this year but is growing away well now, plenty of new growth.

If ours get a heavy enough freeze it will lose leaves. Otherwise it
holds well,
as last winter. I have yet to see the berries last well into the winter
though,
I suspect it may be too wet.

Anyway Larry try a little light liquid feed, I'll bet it comes storming
back.

Too wet over winter and mulching hasn't allowed evaporation of moisture? It
likes moist but well-drained soil. Did it get caught by frost or cold
winds? I think I'd remove the mulch and water sparingly and only in dry
spells for a while.
